BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Stevenson Pelegy Noah is a soil laboratory scientist and agronomist with vast experience in soil, water, plant, manure and organic & inorganic fertilizer analysis. Mr. Noah is specialized in Soil Physical & Chemical analysis for soil fertility management and optimal production of crops. He has 9 years of experience in soil science laboratory activities, university practical teaching, consultancies and outreach activities related to soil fertility management and plant nutrition but also 1.6 year in secondary schools’ laboratories. He holds an Ordinary Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology and Bachelor of Science in Agronomy.

Project Research: Soil fertility status of five soils from Masimbu station village, Mvomero, Morogoro, Tanzania and response of maize (Zea mays L.) to P and S in one of the soil types. Supervisor: Prof. J. M. R. Semoka (PhD).

9th November, 2017: Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Seminar organized by Agilent Technologies in association with Chemetrix and Tekno Denki (T) held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

9th April, 2016: The training session of Opportunities of Organic Agriculture in Tanzania; organized by Tanzania Agronomy of Society in association with Tanzania Organic Agriculture Movement (TOAM) at Sokoine University of Agriculture.

12th December, 2015: 2nd Workshop for Participatory Research Design (WPRD) (that involved discussions between farmers, student researchers and research supervisors to identify challenge issues in crop and animal husbandry as well as how to design research that finds solutions to these critical issues), organized by Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT) and Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) held at Sokoine University of Agriculture.

2nd – 9th September, 2014: The Soil Doc Training Program (Use of soil testing kit for small scale farming system) organized by Agriculture Food Security centre, Earth Institute/Columbia University and Sokoine University of Agriculture.
