The Department of Crop Science and Horticulture has participated Sokoine memorial week was held on 9th April to 12th April 2019,at Sokoine University of Agriculture Main campus with a theme “Agricultural productivity and Industrialization for Tanzania’s Development: Lessons from Edward Moringe Sokoine and Prospectus for the future.”

During the event many activities were conducted and various technologies displayed. Information on seed technologies, crops production, propagation techniques, new bean varieties (Karanga) were some of the technologies . Students, farmers, and other agricultural stakeholders also got an opportunity to visit the showroom and learn new technologies, ask question, buy some products and seek for assistance on issues concerning agriculture and crops in particular.
