PROF. JOYCE KINABO APPOINTED FIRST-EVER PROFESSOR EMERITA AT SUA

 

The Department of Human Nutrition and Consumer Sciences is proud for the appointment of Prof. Joyce Kinabo as a Professor Emerita, marking a historic milestone for both the department and Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). This distinguished title is a testament to Prof. Kinabo’s remarkable academic career and lifelong dedication to advancing human nutrition and allied sciences.

The title Professor Emerita is an honorary designation awarded to retired professors who have made outstanding contributions to academia, research, and institutional development. It is a symbol of continued affiliation with the university and recognition of their enduring impact in their field.

Prof. Kinabo’s appointment is particularly noteworthy as she becomes the first ever Professor Emerita in the history of SUA, and our department is the first to have such a distinguished position.
