As part of their practical learning, first-year students pursuing Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition also Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Studies at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) recently conducted a practical session on the topic of childhood and adolescent nutrition with pre, primary and secondary schools students in Morogoro Municipal.
The sessions aimed to enhance the students’ practical skills in calculating energy and other nutrients required for specific age group and the meal planning to meet the recommendation while simultaneously raising awareness among young learners on the importance of healthy eating habits.
