A 3rd Yr. BSc. Aquaculture – Mr. Magoti Ernest participated in exhibition during Sokoine Memorial Week at SUA in May 2023

Mr. Magoti Ernest participated fully in the exhibition during the Sokoine memorial week from 22^nd – 26^th of May 2023. Mr. Magoti Ernest is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aquaculture (3^rd yr) at the Sokoine University of Agriculture. Apart from his study, he is provided online and on-farm training in fish farming and good aquaculture practices. From his training, he successfully managed to let smallholder farmers install different fish farms at contrasting levels. Small-scale fish farming allows farmers to engage in aquaculture alongside other agricultural activities, providing an additional source of income and food security. It can also create employment opportunities throughout the aquaculture value chain, including production, processing, distribution, and marketing.
