SUA continues to be a bridge for public and private sector workers to invest in agriculture and livestock.
SUA recently hosted 64 staff members from the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) on a learning visit at the Model Training Farm (MTF) Department on November 14, 2025.
As they prepare for life after public service, TRA staff members learned and explored key investment areas, including pasture establishment and seed production, dairy cattle and goat farming, fish farming, and fruit seedling production.
The TRA team was welcomed by SUA leadership, including the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Maulid Mwatawala, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Finance), Prof. Amandus Muhairwa, and the Head of the MTF Department, Dr. Newton Kilasi.
Prof. Mwatawala congratulated the TRA staff for choosing SUA as a practical place to learn about livestock and agricultural investment.
“SUA is working closely with both private and public institutions, including TRA Morogoro, by providing agricultural and livestock training,” said Prof. Mwatawala.
Speaking on behalf of their fellow TRA staff, Mr. Tilson Kabuje and Ms. Frida Ndyetabula expressed their gratitude, confirming that the training fully met their expectations.
“We chose SUA because we believed it is the only institution that could give us the knowledge and skills we need as we prepare for life after public service,” said Ms. Frida.
Concluding the visit, Dr. Kilasi extended an open invitation, stating, “The MTF Department welcomes the community to visit SUA and learn practical agriculture and livestock investment”.
