The DCSH hosts the following degree programs; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/bachelor-of-science-in-agriculture-general\/\">BSc. Agriculture<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/bachelor-of-science-in-horticulture\/\">BSc. Horticulture<\/a>, <span lang=\"EN-GB\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/bachelor-of-crop-production-and-management\/\">BSc. in Crop Production and Management<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/msc-crop-science\/\">MSc. Crop Science<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/master-of-science-in-horticulture\/\">MSc.Horticulture,,<\/a><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/msc-seed-technology-and-business\/\">MSc. Seed Technology and Business<\/a>,&nbsp;<span lang=\"EN-GB\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/phd-in-agroecology\/\">PhD in Agroecology<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/span><\/span>an unspecialised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/phd\/\">PhD<\/a>&nbsp;and <span lang=\"EN-GB\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/diploma-in-crop-production-and-management\/\">Diploma in Crop production and Management<\/a> which is offered at Mizengo Pinda Campus.<\/span>The DCSH has a number of specialised laboratories on molecular biology, plant pests\u2019 diagnostics, fruits and vegetables quality, and seed quality testing. The DCSH manages the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/horticulture-unit-3\/\">Horticulture Unit<\/a> and the <a href=\"index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=59;crop-museum&amp;catid=58;facility\">Crop Museum<\/a> of Sokoine University of Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The current head of Department is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/crop\/a-b-kudra\/\">Dr. Abdul Kudra<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Crop Science and Horticulture (DCSH) is organised into five sections of Crop Protection, Horticulture, Crop improvement, Agronomy and the African Seed Health Center.
