The Department of Animal, Aquaculture and Range Sciences is pleased to inform the scientific community and Congratulate Dr. Dismas Said Shija<\/strong> a member of academic staff, for successfully defending his PhD on 21st<\/sup> June 2023 at Egerton University<\/a> in Kenya. The tittle of his PhD thesis is \u201cApplication of Positive Deviance Concept to Assess Amelioration Strategies for Environmental Stresses on Smallholder Dairy Farms in Tanzania.”<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Shija was supervised by Professor Dr. Bockline Omedo Bebe(PhD), Dr. Perminus K. Migwi (PhD) (both from Egerton University) and Dr. Okeyo Ally Mwai (PhD) from International Livestock Research Institute<\/a> (ILRI). Dr. Shija is an expert in Livestock production Systems at the Department of Animal, Aquaculture and Range Sciences from Sokoine University of Agriculture<\/a>. His main research areas are on Dairy Farming and Entrepreneurship.<\/span><\/p>\n
