The Department offers three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/animal\/undergraduate-studies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">undergraduate degree programs<\/a>, two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coa.sua.ac.tz\/animal\/postgraduate-studies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">master&#8217;s Programmes<\/a>, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"group w-full text-gray-800 dark:text-gray-100 border-b border-black\/10 dark:border-gray-900\/50 bg-gray-50 dark:bg-[#444654]\">\n<div class=\"flex p-4 gap-4 text-base md:gap-6 md:max-w-2xl lg:max-w-xl xl:max-w-3xl md:py-6 lg:px-0 m-auto\">\n<div class=\"relative flex flex-col w-[calc(100%-50px)] gap-1 md:gap-3 lg:w-[calc(100%-115px)]\">\n<div class=\"flex flex-grow flex-col gap-3\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] flex flex-col items-start gap-4 whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The Department of Animal, Aquaculture, and Range Sciences typically offers a wide range of courses in the areas that include animal nutrition, genetics, reproduction, physiology, behavior, animal products, draught power, animal welfare; aquaculture production systems, water quality, fish nutrition, fish health, aquatic ecology; range ecology, pasture, forage management, livestock production systems, and non-conventional animal management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">In addition to coursework, the department may also offer hands-on learning opportunities through laboratory exercises, field trips, and research projects. Students in the department may also have the opportunity to gain practical experience through internships, study abroad programs, or other experiential learning opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Graduates of the Department of Animal, Aquaculture, and Range Sciences may pursue careers in a variety of areas, including livestock production, aquaculture, range management, animal nutrition, research and development, and extension education.
