Community development is a process involving a group of people in a locality who have recognised their ability and initiate a collective social action in a form of a planned intervention to change their economic, physical, social, cultural, political and/or environmental situation and achieve tangible outcomes—in terms of economic, physical, social, cultural, political and/or environmental improvement in a community.

What is the meaning of extension in agriculture?

Extension in agriculture is an on-going process of getting useful information to people (communication dimension), assisting them to acquire the necessary Knowledge (cognitive domain), Skills (psychomotor domain), and Attitudes (Affective domain) to enable them improve their quality of life.  Knowledge (cognitive domain), Skills (psychomotor domain), and Attitudes (Affective domain) constitute the educational dimension.
